Cork Accountant, Mary Brady will shortly commence her first overseas assignment when she starts work in Windhoek, Namibia.
Mary (32) has been assigned to work with the International Federation of the Red Cross as a Finance Administrator for six months.
A Certified Public Accountant and a qualified Auditor, Mary is currently working for a manufacturing company in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork. Previously, she has worked in both Fermoy and her hometown, Carrigaline, Co. Cork as well as in Dublin.
During this time she builtup experience in all aspects of financial management and administration including taxation, auditing, cashflow and grant applications. Educated at Colaiste Mhuire, Crosshaven and Cork RTC, Bishopstown, Mary qualified as an Accountant in 1990 and obtained her auditor's practising certificate in 1994.
Welcoming Mary to the Red Cross, the Secretary General of the Irish Red Cross, Mr Paul Lynch said, "I'm delighted to have Mary on board and it is commendable that with her qualifications and experience, Mary has chosen to work overseas for a humanitarian agency."
