Nominations for this year’s award are now open to anyone who wants the chance to have a voluntary carer celebrated for their work looking after loved ones.
If you know a carer who deserves recognition, or if you are a carer yourself, please complete the nomination form and tell us about them/you.
The Irish Red Cross Carer of the Year 2017 award is open to all voluntary carers supporting the needs of people in any circumstance and of any age. Nominees do not need to be Irish Red Cross members.
“This award is recognition for Bernie’s selfless commitment to Damien. She truly reflects one of the Red Cross’s fundamental principles, humanity. Her love and dedication for over 30 years is testament to that,” Mr Horwell said.
