Nominations for this year’s Irish Red Cross Carer's award are now open to anyone who wants the chance to have a voluntary carer celebrated for their work looking after loved ones.
If you know a carer who deserves recognition, or if you are a carer yourself, please complete the nomination form and tell us about them/you. The award is open to all voluntary carers supporting the needs of people in any circumstance and of any age. Nominees do not need to be Irish Red Cross members.
"To present Vincent with his prize was very humbling and was only a small token on behalf of the Irish Red Cross for the tireless effort and commitment Vincent has show towards his family. Vincent displays on a daily basis what it means to be a humanitarian and as a fundamental principle of our movement it was a very fitting presentation" Mr Lonergan said.
