The Irish Red Cross is assisting members of Ireland’s Balkan diaspora to find missing family members following massive flooding in Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Croatia.
In Belgrade, the Red Cross Tracing Service is cross-checking lists of evacuated persons and collecting tracing requests from those who have lost contact with their loved ones. Lists of sought persons are being submitted to the relevant authorities. The Red Cross is also offering people free phone calls to let family members know they are safe and offering transport to vulnerable family members who are accommodated in different shelters.
