Aoife McGivney, a nurse at the Mater Hospital, saved a driver's life on O'Connell Bridge after he collapsed while driving the bus. She was listening to music when she realised the bus had broken a red light and was rolling towards O'Connell Bridge. To read the full story, Click Here.
It was a stark reminder of how important it is to learn first aid and how to perform CPR should a cardiac emergency occur.
Our very own Rosemarie Hayden was on WeekendAM demonstrating how to perform CPR and express how important it is to learn.
The great news was the driver was conscious by the time he got to a hospital.
