Over 400 Youth Members and 100 Youth Leaders attended the 2013 National Youth Challenge in Laois on 14th of April to make it the biggest youth challenge in Irish Red Cross history!
Participants from the ages of 5 to 17 from Irish Red Cross branches all over the country travelled to Laois to take part in the Gerry Moyne National Youth Challenge. Each youth member left the group they arrived with to form teams and make friends with members from other branches.
An amazing 400 young people and 100 youth leaders, assisted by the National Youth Working Group and Head Office Staff, ensured that the day ran smoothly – manning stations, leading teams and taking part in the very wet and infamous “grand finale”!
This year was particularly special as youth members participated in a video project which will be launched this summer, showcasing Irish Red cross Youth.
