The Gaisce Gold Award Ceremony took place in Saint Patrick's Hall, Dublin Castle on the 29th of September.
Karen O'Sullivan and Elaine Patrick were amongst the winners.
For her gold award, Karen, 25, who is a member of the Ballinora/Ballincollig branch of the Red Cross became a leader with Surf2Heal, an organisation run for children with autism and she walked part of the Kerry way. Thrilled with her achievement Karen noted, “It truly developed my sense of adventure, I’d highly recommend it for personal development”.
Elaine Patrick, 25, who is a member of the Cork City branch of the Red Cross, got her Gold for undertaking a fitness programme within the gym as well as taking up upholstery . Commenting on her success, Elaine said “The small moments of triumph make it”.
The Irish Red Cross wishes to congratulate all the awardees for the hard work they put in towards achieving the Gold.
