Irish Red Cross volunteers in Galway and Cork were recently involved in the transfer of patients as requested by the HSE. 

Three ambulance crews from the Galway area assisted in transferring patients from a Woodford nursing home to other care centres.  Whilst in Cork, the residents of Marymount Hospice were transported by IRC ambulance crews to a new modern hospital.  The move from Marymount Hospice was featured on TV3 - Watch show
