The New Governance Structure of the Irish Red Cross has incorporated that Irish Red Cross Youth will have a Central Council Representative with full voting rights. The opportunity to be nominated as a candidate for this position is open to members aged between 18yrs and 30yrs old.  It is essential that members wishing to be elected have a minimum of 2 years involvement in youth activities and are nominated by two paid up members of the Irish Red Cross 16 yrs and over.

Nominations can be made by completing the nomination form and returning it by post to the Youth Department, Irish Red Cross, 16 Merrion Square, Dublin 2, or by email to youth@redcross.ie.


The closing date for receipt of nominations is 5pm Tuesday 25th October 2011 – nominations received after this deadline will not be accepted.

Nominees will be invited to attend the National Bi-Annual Youth Forum which is taking place on Saturday 12th November 2011 in Athlone, Co Westmeath, where they will be given an opportunity to address the forum, before members vote on their representative.
