Why partner with the Irish Red Cross?

CSR Activities and Payroll Giving
There are countless ways to engage employees and colleagues within your organisation to fundraise for the Irish Red Cross. Take an existing tradition like a summer employee BBQ or Christmas Party and request a participation donation. Bring philanthropy into your team’s away day by working ‘for free’ and gifting that day’s pay. Turn your department birthday celebrations into cake sales for charity.
Don’t forget to ask your company to match funds raised to increase participation and overall impact.
Some ideas to get you started:
- Donate a day of pay, a commission, or even a lunch break
- Add fundraising elements to your staff engagement events
- Set up Distance Challenges – even compete across departments
- Cake Sales, Quizzes, Auctions, Raffles (raffles and lotteries need to adhere to legislative requirements, see here)
- Fancy Dress, Ugly Sweater or Team Jersey days
We use Enthuse as our preferred platform and can help set your company up with a bespoke page where you can add each fundraising event, include photos and stories, and even create competition boards between departments.
Event Sponsorships
We host a number of events year-round that benefit greatly from corporate sponsorships. Event sponsorship is a tremendous way to showcase our partnership to your internal stakeholders, your clients and externally to the public. We love celebrating our partners in this way and work with you to make sure thoughtful benefits are provided at a variety of levels.

Join an Existing Charity Event in aid of the Irish Red Cross
Consider signing members of your team or a group of work friends to fundraise for the Irish Red Cross by walking, jogging or running in one of these prestigious events. We will help you get set up properly with training, nutrition, fundraising and social media guidance.
Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon 2026: The 2025 Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon included the Irish Red Cross as a beneficiary for the first time. Hear directly from one of our amazing supporters here. We hope to increase participation for 2026. Join us for it!
Dublin City Marathon 2026: The Irish Red Cross is putting forward its first Dublin City Marathon team in October 2025. Spaces are already filled for this event. We plan to increase the size of our team next year and hope you will be part of it. In the meantime, check out our 2025 DCM team here.
