What you need to know

This Scheme is open to small businesses, sports clubs, community and voluntary organisations in County Cork impacted by flooding that occurred between 3rd and 7th November 2025.

The closing date for applications is 5th December 2025.

The scheme is to help you put right the damage caused by the flood and help get you back up and running as quickly as possible. It allows for the replacement of flooring, fixtures and fittings, where relevant. The scheme will not provide a contribution to cover the loss of earnings or loss of business goodwill. 

The Irish Red Cross will administer and make payments under the Scheme. We are ready to act fast. 

Step-by-Step Process

3. Our team at the Irish Red Cross are ready to act fast. We will review applications as they are received.

4. We will verify all applications’ property details with the relevant County Council.  

5. We aim to make the first-stage payments of up to €5,000 to the bank account details you provide promptly, once the details are verified. 

6. Applications for more financial support will require an in-person visit by an assessor. We have a panel of assessors ready on the ground to support straightaway.   

7. Once we have the assessor’s report, a decision will be made and communicated to you. Payment will be made promptly.
