The Irish Red Cross is an Irish charity with a network of 79 branches throughout the country, which are run entirely by volunteers.
A great deal of our work is at home responding to emergencies, treating the injured and saving lives, promoting social inclusion and running youth programmes, while we also raise funds and awareness for the International Red Cross' humanitarian operations abroad.
With a fleet of 144 vehicles, including regular ambulances, four-wheel-drive ambulances and minibuses which are stationed right across the country, the Irish Red Cross supports community events, supplements the health service and provides home-care programmes.
For information about becoming an Irish Red Cross volunteer or the services the Irish Red Cross offers in your locality, please contact your nearest branch. Contact details can be found on our branch map.
